we've found the best fish tacos in san diego!

...at Marisco's taco truck. Each taco is only $1 {yes, $1!}. So, a meal for four of us...that's 10 tacos, 2 ceviches, 4 fish soups, and 2 sodas = $18. Can't beat it with a stick...and it's SO good. Bob was actually speechless. Read more right here....

...well, Bob made the chicken and I made the accompanying mashed potatoes and spinach (not shown). SO. DARN. GOOD....such a tasty meal. We got the fried chicken recipe right here...

Best pizza in SD?

We just had some pizza from Basic Pizza right before a baseball game.   Lemme tell you, this was almost as good as anything you'd find in NYC.  The cheese wasn't fresh mozzarella, but it was pretty good.  The sauce was perfect--not over seasoned and not too watery or thick.  

The crust however.... the crust was UNBELIEVABLE.  Perfectly thin, perfectly salted, perfectly yeasted.  It's all fired up in a super hot brick oven and comes piping hot.  This is where we are taking you if you come visit us here!
